James A. Dugan, CPA, PS has been providing income tax and accounting services in Redmond and Kirkland, Washington, since 1994. The firm is dedicated to providing professional services on a timely basis with a personal touch.

Jim Dugan

Jim is a 1973 graduate of Louisiana State University where he received a BS degree in accounting. Upon graduation, he left Louisiana to join the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ in San Bernardino, California, where he worked for five years.

Jim began his public accounting career in 1978 and became a certified public accountant after passing all parts of the CPA exam on his first attempt in 1979. His experience prior to starting his own firm in 1994 includes over thirteen years in public accounting in two large Puget Sound area CPA firms. His practice now focuses on providing accounting, tax and business consulting services to small businesses and their owners, along with income tax services to individuals.

Jim is a member of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has served on various committees at the Washington Society including the Off-site Review Committee, the Accounting and Review Services Committee, the Employee Benefits Committee and the Management of Accounting Practice Committee. He currently serves on the Financial Statement Review Committee.

Jim lives in Bothell, Washington, with his wife, Wanda, and from time to time with one or two of their three children, both almost grown and spreading their wings, soon to leave the nest. Jim and his family attend Northshore Baptist Church in Bothell. He occasionally gets out to fish and enjoys hiking with his son.
